Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam was a great Indian scientist.He is also known as Missile man of India.He was born on 15th October 1931 at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.His father’s name was Jainulabdeen and mother’s name was Ashiama.

Kalam’s thirst for knowledge was evident from a young age, and he showed remarkable diligence in his studies.
After completing his school education,Kalam went on to study aerospace engineering at the Madras institute of Technology.He graduated in 1954 and joined the Aeronautical Development Establishment of the defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO).

Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s contributions to India’s space research and missile development programs are legendary.He played a pivotal role in the development of India’s first indigenous satellite launch vehicle,SLV-3.The successful launch of Rohini Satellite in 1980 marked a significant milestone for India in the field of space research.Kalam’s dedication and visionary leadership earned him the moniker “The Missile Man of India.”

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam became the 11th President of India.He served the country from 2002 to 2007. For his excellence and brilliance,he was awarded the prestigious Bharat Ratna in 1998,Padma Vibhushan in 1990 and Padma Bhushan in 1981.
