Introduction:-
Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897. His father Janakinatha Bose was a well known lawyer of his time. His mother Prabhavathi Devi was a religious Woman. He was a brave Indian freedom fighter. He played a crucial role in India’s struggle for Independence from British rule. Bose lived in the power of unity and fought tirelessly for India’s freedom. He formed the Indian National Army(INA) to over throw British colonial rule and sought support from countries like Japan during World War. Bose’s famous slogan “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom” inspired many Indian to join the freedom movement.

Subhash Chandra was a brilliant student. At an early age, he started reading about Swami Vivekanand and Ramakrishna and was influenced by their teachings. Bose completed his B.A. Hons in Philosophy in 1918 from the University of Calcutta. He later went to England in September 1919 for further studies.
Indian National Congress:-
Bose had the nationalist temperament and Britishers discrimination towards Indian would fill him with rage. To serve the country, he joined the Indian National Congress 1921 (Congress Party). Bose joined the Non-cooperation Movement, started by Gandhi under his influence. Bose was known to founded the Azad Hind Army or Indian National Army. For his revolutionary movements, Bose had been to jail several times.
Contribution in National Movement:-
Bose’s selfless contribution to India’s Independence Movement and organizing and leading the Indian National Army is indispensable. His struggle of Independence was highlighted during the Civil Disobedience Movement for which he had even been arrested. In fact, he was imprisoned 11 times for his ideologies and the use of force against the British.
Death:-
Bose died from third degree burns after his plane crashed in Japanese Talwan on 18 August 1945.
