Indian Premiere League (IPL)
The Indian premiere league is a professional T-20 format cricket. It was founded by the Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007.Mr.Lalit Modi was the first chairman of IPL as well as vice president of BCCI. It usually Consists 8 teams . It is usually held between march and may of every year.
The IPL is most likely & choosing cricket format in the world. It got 6th ranked by the average attendance among the all sports in 2014.
There have been 17 seasons of IPL tournament. The last champion team was Kolkata Knight Riders.

History of IPL
The IPL was founded in 2007 by BCCI. The first season of IPL was held in 2008. where totally 59 matches were played . Eight teams were participated in this season. The first match played between Kolkata knight Riders & Royal Challengers Banglore in 18, April 2008 At M. Chinnaswamy stadium.
The first match was very interested because the first century was scored in the first match of IPL by Brandon McCallum.
IPL season 2009 :
This was the first time in the history of IPL competition, when the venue of the tournament had to be changed from India. Due to the process of 2009 elections across the country. It was considered to play in South Africa.
