The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is celebrated on 24 November every year. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru is known as father of NCC. The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. The National Cadet Corps is India was formed in 1948. The Headquarters is located in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri- service Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.

The NCC Cadets also worked hand in hand with the Civil defence authorities and actively took part in rescue works and traffic control.
The discussion for the motto of NCC was started in 11th Central advisory meeting held on 11 August 1978. At that time there were many mottos in mink like “Duty and wisdom”, ” Duty, Unity and Discipline”, ” Duty and Unity”, ” Unity and Discipline”.
The Aims of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected to it in the current socio- economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline a secular outlook, the spirit.
Pledge- We the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India.
We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation.
We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.
The NCC is headed by the Director General an officer of three star rank. The Director General is assisted by two Additional Director Generals of two star ranked. Five Brigadier level officers and other civil officials also assist him. The Headquarters is located in Delhi. These are Directorate, Division/ Regimental Corps, Group, Battalion, Company, Units.
Army – Each battalion or unit under the NCC consists of platoons or copy. For senior division boys each platoon consists of 52 cadets and each coy consists 160 cadets.
Navy- For senior division boys each BN or unit consists of 4 to 8 divisions and each division consists of 50 cadets.
Air – For senior division boys and senior wing girls each unit consists of at least 2 fleets each consists of 100 cadets.
NCC has ventured into diverse sectors of construction and infrastructural development. Spanning across the nation, Our construction activities are covered under buildings, transportation, water & environment, electrical, irrigation, mining and railways sectors.
